Last week I had the pleasure to audition and book a new episodic, comedic television show for the Oxygen Network called "MY CRAZY LOVE" It's a re-enactment show that will make you laugh out loud with all of the CRAZY and downright embarrassing things men and women have done in the name of love. My episode is #2, titled "Betsy and Mike". I'm very excited about this comedic role which relied heavily on my improvisation skills in both Spanish and English. I can't give anything away, and besides, I don't want to spoil the fun. We thoroughly enjoyed shooting our episode and oh my goodness, let me tell you, there is SO MUCH detail behind what keeps a show visually stimulating for the viewer. Our first airdate is set for Tuesday, November 4th at 10PM ET/ 9 CT. I hope you truly enjoy it.

Last week was the first time I did a shoot at the NYU-TISCH film and television program. The student revamped a scene from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air where Will spends some time with his father who had abandoned him as a child. In our adaptation, the mother abandons the family, and guess who gets to play the mean mom...ME!!!
I truly loved working with my cast-mates, Ron Denson and Jacques Point Du Jour and our director, Brandon Daniels. Hopefully we'll have a chance to work together again in the near future.
DON'T BLINK or you'll miss me! This is the Eyewitness News commercial I shot in May. It seems the weather reporters are more important to highlight than moi. What were they thinking?!?! HAHAHA. Anyway, I served up suburban mom realness in a half second. So please keep your eyes open for the frame at the 25 second mark. :)
These are a couple of screen shots in case you DID blink!
Here is a new edit of the commercial
Last night there was a staged reading of SHE HATES COFFEE by playwright A.R. Garcia, aka radio personality, Dominican Soul at Teatro LaTea. To my delight I wasn't cast as a mom and instead I played the protagonist's former girlfriend. Mr. Garcia's work is still in development and the purpose of the reading was to bring his characters to life in order to make necessary edits.
From Mr Garcia: "She Hates Coffee” is a male introspective on relationships. The story is about a young Latino male who is unlucky in love and has a bad habit of choosing the wrong woman. It’s an emotionally engaging piece that allows people to see how men really feel and think about their love life. It also depicts how men really share with each other whats happening in their love life, disproving the misconception that we keep everything inside. This story begins with the protagonist who is left at the alter and driven into the arms of yet another bad choice in a love partner. All the while the right woman was right in front of him. Will he realize who his real love should be or will he miss out just as many of us have?
I love participating in staged readings because it allows the actors to hone their craft in front of an audience without the obligation of memorizing lines. Another great perk is the opportunity to meet and work with other talented actors.
